Carolyn Louise Altene, age 88, of Flint, Michigan passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Carolyn was born in Michigan on November 26, 1935 to the late Julian and Byrd Maine.
Carolyn enjoyed tending to her flower beds, decorating her home, car rides to the casino, and ice cream. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and perusing local garage and estate sales for goods. Carolyn will be deeply missed by all those she loved and cherished.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters: Kathy Zaruba and Buffy Pfeiffer; grandchildren: Alyson Pfeiffer, Abbigale Pfeiffer, Michael (Becky) Zaruba, and Lisa Zaruba; six great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sister Dorothy; and cousin Julian Maine.
Carolyn is predeceased by her parents: Julian Maine and Byrd Turner; husbands: Edward Zaruba and Fred Cronk; sons: Michael Zaruba and Chris Zaruba; and brother Archie Maine.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 12pm-3pm and 5pm-8pm at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. A funeral service for Carolyn will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1pm with a one hour visitation prior at 12pm at Brown Funeral Home. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Crestwood Cemetery following the services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Carolyn. |
