BELANGER, Rita M. – Of Flint, age 96, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at
Nathan’s Place.
Visitation 9 a.m. and Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 North Adelaide Street, Fenton, Father Robert Copeland officiating.
Burial in St. John Cemetery in Davison.

Rita was born in Flint, Michigan on June 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Donia and Anna (Beauchamp) LaCross.
On September 25, 1948 she married Earl Belanger in Flint.
She loved gardening, making wreaths, sewing, making dolls and working outside in her yard.
She was a charter member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and belonged to the Women’s Guild.
Surviving are children, Sandra and husband Michael Shaker, Gary (Donna Dees) Belanger and
Kathryn Belanger (Grant Hendrixson);
grandchildren, Jason, Noelle (Freddie), Michael (Michelle), Kyle (Heather), Elizabeth (Zach), Jonathan (Andrea) and Alex (Jenna);
great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Jason Jr., Abigail, Gavyn, Harper, Lyla, Emmerson and 2 on the way;
sister, Donna Smith;
many nieces, nephews and good friend, Lou Tremblay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl and 2 brothers.
