HENRY, Loretta June – on Monday, May 24, 2021, Jesus opened the gates of Heaven and let our wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother into Heaven. Praise the Lord. No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Loretta’s Life will be held at a later date.
Loretta was born on June 1, 1936, in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Monett (Fellows) Ralston. She married James “Jim” Henry on May 23, 1953. They recently celebrated 68 wonderful years and had four children together. Loretta was a girl scout and cub scout leader for many years. She attended and was the head greeter at New Covenant Church in Clio where she had the ability to always remember everyone’s name. Loretta was a proud charter member of Genesee Star Quilters. She was an expert quilter and won many ribbons over the years. Loretta also enjoyed baking and made delicious Christmas cookie trays for many family members and friends over the years. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Loving husband, Jim Henry; Daughter, Joyce (Steve) Viall; Son, Tom (Tracy) Henry; Daughter in law, April S. Henry; 12 grandchildren: Bob, Carrie (John), Sherry, Toni (Matt), Chris (Anna), Jason (Amanda), Joe (April), Kimber (Alvaro) Steven, Matt (Tiffani), T.J. (Sarah Beth), Sarah (Mason); 14 great grandchildren: Kaylea, Trenton, Jaden, Shelby, Tyler, Brenanlyn, Destiny, Austin, Rosemary, Annabel, Madison, Camden, Kaylen, Katherine, and twins on the way. Loretta was also preceded in death by: Sons: James Jr., and Eugene; Grandson, James III; Great granddaughter, Chloe; Sisters: Margaret, Naomi, and Alice; Brother, James. The family would like to extend a special thank you to friend, Connie Hall, Nurse Erin, and the staff at the Medical Team Hospice for all their love and care.
