Krapohl, John H. “Jack”- of Clio, age 71, died peacefully Saturday, December 25, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his wife and children. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 3PM, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Visitation will begin at 12pm, with a service to follow at 3pm. The family welcomes you to honor Jack, by wearing your favorite University of Michigan apparel to the memorial service if you wish. Jack was born June 21, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, to Henry and Janice (Roof) Krapohl. He graduated from Beecher High School class of 1968 and was married to Faye Borensztejn on August 3, 1974. Together they shared 47 years of marriage, three children, five grandchildren (their beloved Pa), and a lifetime of memories. He worked as a millman with Anderson Logistics for 34 years, a longtime Teamsters Union member, retiring in 2010. Jack belonged to Our Savior Lutheran Church. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, carpentry and lending his hands to friends and family. He was an avid sports fan with a particular love of baseball and horse racing. As a younger man, Jack coached little league baseball and recreationally played fast pitch softball. Above all, he was a devoted family man, a true jack-of-all-trades and a man who could always be relied on. He will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are: Wife, Faye Krapohl; Mother, Janice Krapohl; Children: Phillip (Brandy) Krapohl, Stefanie (Joshua) Withrow and Brian (Tina) Krapohl; Grandchildren: Desmond, Lilah, Bennett, Morrison and Asher; Siblings: Sue (Tony) Genovese, Peggy (Randy) Couch, Jim (DeeAnn) Krapohl, Bruce Krapohl and Kathy Krapohl; Sister in Law: Linda Delaney; his many loved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, his lifelong friend, Neil Schroeder, and many friends and extended family.
