Georgina Ayotte, 75, of Alpena, MI, formerly of Hillman, passed away on October 21, 2010 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. She was born on July 17, 1935 to Fred and Alice (James) Shepherd in Wellington Twp, MI. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed taking trips to the casino. She enjoyed crafting, especially quilting, and enjoyed cooking and canning. She was well liked and loved by everyone.
Georgina is survived by her daughters, Cindy Morgan of Petoskey, MI and Janice (Keith) Steiner of Burnsville, MN; companion, Dean Purdy of Alpena, MI; grandchildren, Jessica (Robbie) Lentine, Jeannie Havens, and Max Morgan; great grandchildren, Emily, Brittany, Brook, Klohe, and Sandy; brothers, James Shepherd of Lachine, MI, Raymond (Bev) Shepherd and Chester (Bridgette) Shepherd both of Hillman, MI; and sisters, Marietta (William) Klein of Alpena, Susie Smith of Hillman, MI, Linda (Greg) Gilbert of Wilkes Barre, PA, and Betty (Phil) Pesotski of Plains, PA.
As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held for Mrs Ayotte on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 3-5 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI. A private interment service will be held at Hillman Rust Twp Cemetery afterward. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
