MODONAS, Doris Gene (Allison) – of Flint, MI, age 82, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 6 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. The family will receive visitors 5-6 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home.
Doris was born in Portageville, MO on March 10, 1937, daughter of the late James Monroe and Lois Irene (Dooley) Allison. She loved working and always stayed busy. Her hobbies included reading and quilting. Doris was quite the social butterfly, she loved spending time with family and friends. When family and friends were over, she loved cooking for them. She always had a kind word to make you smile.
Doris is survived by her 2 sons, Chris Demitries Modonas and Michael Dee Modonas; 3 grandchildren, Alexa, Alexander and Madison; 2 brothers, Bud Allison and Travis Allison; 1 sister, Dora Armor; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Arley Allison, Willard Allison and Bill Allison and 1 sister, Juanita Napier.
