SPENCER, Kenneth (Ron) – of Burton, MI, age 74, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local youth sports organization of your choice.

Kenneth (Ron) was born in Flint, MI on November 8, 1946, son of Kenneth William and Martha Alice (Slater) Spencer. He graduated from Bentley High School in Burton, MI in 1964. Kenneth served as a Private First Class in the US Army, stationed in Seoul South Korea from 1966-1967. He married his high school sweetheart, Cheryle (Dow) on June 22, 1968. Kenneth worked for Buick City for 25 years. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and watching his favorite Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverines football teams. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren’s many sporting events.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cheryle; daughter, Angela (Adrian) Wright of Marietta, GA; grandsons, Austin, Ahmari and Ashton Wright; sister, Karen (Bill) McDonald; brother, Mark Spencer; sisters-in-law, Sue Spencer, Diane (Jim) Hale and Nancy Dow; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; best friend of 65 years, David Crawford; adopted daughter, Kelly Ware; granddaughter, Torey Ware, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Martha Spencer; brother, Tim Spencer; niece, Kristin Spencer and parents-in-law, Lyman and Merle Dow.

Cheryle and Angela would like to express their deepest appreciation and thank you to the family friend, Lisa Ansel for her kind, diligent care and love for “Pops”.
