CLAPP, Donald H. – of Burton, age 88, passed away on February 22, 2025. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley officiating. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
Donald was born in Flint on February 26, 1936, son of the late Donald and Cora (Wolfgang) Clapp. He was a 1955 graduate of Kearsley High School. It was there that he met the love of his life Barbara Vargo. They were married in March of 1957, and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2022. Donald worked for IMA (Industrial Mutual Association) for more than 35 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his car. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching all sports on television. His greatest joy came from his family. They will treasure the memories and miss Donnie greatly.
Donald is survived by his children, Kimberly Martin, Kirk Clapp and Kevin Clapp; 4 grandchildren, Kasey (Miguel) Barrera, Kelly Clapp, Cooper Clapp and Riley Clapp; 1 great-granddaughter, Lucy Elizabeth Barrera and many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife Barbara, Donald was preceded in death by his Daughter-in-law, Kathy Clapp.
