MCAFEE, Kathryn - Of Flint, age 89, went to Heaven Monday, April 16, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Association.
Visitation at 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the funeral home.
Kathryn was born in Leachville, Arkansas on October 31, 1928, the daughter of the late Frank and Lizzy Ellis. On September 21, 1946, she married Elmer C. McAfee Sr. and he preceded her in death in 2005. Kathryn loved her family.
Surviving are six children, Donna Compton, Brenda Hawkins, Sandra (Patrick) McAfee, Elmer C. (Vickie) McAfee Jr., Doris (Ed) O’Dell and Melinda (Kevin) Baker;
9 grandchildren, Andrew, Brent, Melissa, Shaun, David, Christopher, Kourtney, Timothy and Derek;
6 great-grandchildren, Chase, Sydney, Jack, Cash, Molly and Emma
brother, Charles Wright;
sister, Betty (Jim) Giusto;
many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by daughters, Mae Whitehead and Laurie Cram and sister, Opal Stamper.
