GEORGEOFF, Joseph –
On Monday, November 8th, 2021, Joseph John Georgeoff, loving husband and father of four children, passed away at the age of 76. He was born on August 1st, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to Nicholas and Stella Georgeoff.
Joe proudly served in the Air Force as a member of the elite United States Air Force Security Service, from which he was honorably discharged in 1969. He then had a dedicated career with General Motors until his retirement in 2000.
On September 30, 1972, he married his wife Cheryl and together they raised two sons, Nick and Tony, and two daughters, Tina and Alyssa.
He loved sports and was a lifelong ticket holder of the Detroit Lions. In addition to taking advantage of the cold Michigan winters by playing ice hockey with his sons, he enjoyed spending the summers golfing and boating. He was a world traveler, had a great appreciation for WWII history, loved the sounds of Motown and soul music, and was an avid movie buff (especially James Bond films.) Always an early riser, he loved going out for breakfast at Leo's Coney Island and Big Boy. He also had quite the sweet tooth indulging in his daughter Alyssa's special oatmeal raisin cookies as well as his daughter-in law Berit's delectable Danish kringle.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister Judy, his father, his mother, and his daughter Tina. He was also a loving pet dad to dogs Ginger, Winnie, Vinnie, Molly, and cat Kitty Princess Oatmeal. He is survived by his dear wife Cheryl, his three children Nick, Tony (Berit) and Alyssa (Brandon), his brother-in-law Mike (Sheila), his very special pup, Rockie, and his grandpup, Rico.
