ALLETT, Michael – of Montrose, age 73, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday, October 22, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
Michael was born February 20, 1949, in Saginaw, to the late Don and Delores (Henry) Allett. He attended Montrose Community Schools where he received his high school diploma with the class of 1967. After graduation, Michael enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as a physician’s assistant. He proudly retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years of service. Michael enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and golfing. Above all, Michael was a great man who will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara Burt-Allett; Children: Brian Allett, Brianna (Ivan Varghese) Koym, and Shaunna Allett; Grandchildren: Adam and Andrew Allett; Siblings: Patrick (Cindie) Allett and Janice (Michael) Reinhart; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael Scott Allett and parents, Don and Delores. |
