Rodney E. Thompson; age 73 of Shepherd, formerly of Flint, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at
Olson Manor nursing home. Rodney was born September 3, 1950 the son of George and Betty
(Southwell) Thompson. He was born and raised on the south side of Flint and enjoyed fishing in his
younger years. He served honorably in the Vietnam War. He worked as a general laborer during his
career. Rodney is survived by his two sons Jason (Stephanie) Thompson of Blanchard and Joshua (Ronda
Shaw) Thompson of Mt. Pleasant; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews. Rodney is preceded by both his parents and his brother Dan Thompson. Interment will take
place at Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris and there will be a private graveside service on Thursday,
January 11. |
