HUNTER, Clara I. – of Mt. Morris, age 87, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1PM until 8PM, and on Wednesday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Clara was born January 8, 1935, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Clarence and Addie (Diamond) Zinn. She married Thomas Hunter on August 18, 1951, he preceded her in death March 1, 2001. Clara was a waitress at Night Owl in Flint for many years. She enjoyed playing all types of games, cards, bingo, and bowling. Clara loved trips to the casino and watching General Hospital. She was known for her memorable CB radio handle nickname, Spaghetti Legs.
Surviving are: Daughters: Christine (Randy) Klamert, and Julie (Clarence) Klamert; Grandchildren: Tammy (Chuck) McDaniel, Katrina (Jim) Rochelle, Matthew (Amanda) Klamert, Martina Evans, Steven Evans, and Candace (John) Shreve; Great grandchildren: Daton, Shae, Tae, Dustin, Kylie, Makayla, Trenton, Paytin, and Abbie; Brother, Sam (Dort) Zinn; Sister, Mary Hudson; Many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Clara was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Louie Zinn, Larry Zinn, Richard Diamond, George Zinn, Fred Zinn and Sonny Zinn; Sister in law, Mary Rodgers.
