Genevieve Ellen (Mitchell) Wright
Genevieve Wright, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away on October 10, 2022, in her home, with Walter R. Wright, her husband of 70+ years and other family members at her side. The cause of death was due to complications from a recent fall.
Genevieve who was 89, is survived by her husband Walter R. Wright, and her children Kay Wright Sandler of Boca Raton and Kerry J. Wright of Grand Blanc.
She was predeceased by her son Roger {Lorraine) Wright of Cape Coral, FL.
She is survived by 5 grandchildren: Jacob Sandler, Abbe Sandler (Ben) Rosen, Dr. LeAnn Nicole Wright {Dr. Jeremy Brozak), Andrew Farmer, and Alexander Farmer.
She is survived by 4 great grandchildren and one very special cat, Kitty Kitty.
Genevieve was born on August 15, 1933 to George and Ivy Mitchell. Her younger brother, Gary Mitchell predeceased her. Genevieve attended the University of Michigan after her 3 children were born, and graduated with a teaching degree. She taught high school biology and when retired, owned and managed The Learning Center, in Flint, Michigan.
Genevieve was a creative soul with boundless energy and ideas. She was an oil painter, a quilter, loved her big flower garden, and had a great eye for design. She rescued dozens of cats over the years. She loved to read, hike and shop.
The family would like to thank The Care Team, Both Home Health Care and Hospice Teams. Especially Carla and Mellissa, as they treated Genevieve like their family, as they became part of our family.
