MCCULLIGH, Brenda – of Clio, age 68, went peacefully to Heaven on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Maple Woods Manor surrounded by the love of her family. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the West Vienna United Methodist Church.
Brenda was born August 8, 1956, in Flint, to the late Robert and Geraldine (Klatt) Irish. She graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1974 and attended Mott Community College. Brenda was a faithful member of the West Vienna United Methodist Church where she was the church secretary for many years and was active in the United Methodist Women and bible study. For some time, Brenda worked at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she later welcomed her beautiful daughter, Crystal, to the world. She worked at the Clio Country Club during the summer months and several different bowling alleys over the years. Brenda enjoyed writing, reading, crafting, swimming with the fish in the family pond, and bowling – she was an incredible teacher who loved teaching others how to bowl. She was an empathetic, creative, and lively woman who always offered a helping hand to others and was never afraid to say what was on her mind. Brenda loved nature and was most at peace when she was bonding with Mother Earth. She was an incredible woman who will be dearly missed by those who knew her. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Maple Woods Manor for their compassionate care and comfort during Brenda's final days.
Brenda is forever remembered by: Daughter, Crystal (Connor Stevenson) White; Sisters: Christine (LD) Hicks and Cynthia (Darrell) Golden; Bonus Children: Orlando, Na’Jee, and Jess; Best Friends: Laura Stewart and Linda Hammel; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Brenda was preceded in death by: Parents, Robert and Geraldine; Baby Brother Irish; Many other dear family members. |
