PERSALL, Truman George – of Montrose, age 92, died Sunday, February 12, 2023 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 17, 2023 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Dennis Tanner officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to the DAV or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Truman was born December 8, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to the late Truman and Etta (Morley) Persall. He grew up in Mt. Morris, Michigan and graduated from Flushing High School with the class of 1949. Truman proudly served his country in the US Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953. On November 29, 1954 he married Thelma Munsell in Flint, Michigan and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2013. Prior to his retirement in 1988, Truman worked for GM as a line worker with 38 years of service. He was a member of the DAV and the VFW Post # 6579 in New Lothrop, Michigan. Truman enjoyed working on cars and tractors. He liked gardening and tending to his bee hives. However, his greatest joy in life was helping people and his family.
Surviving are: Children, Christopher (Cheri) Persall, Mark (Cathy) Persall, Theresa West; 11 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; Special Niece, Mary (Jerry) Williams. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Thelma Persall; Son, Everett Persall; Sister, Betty Hastedt.
