ROYCE, Mollie S. – of Burton, age 45, died on Saturday, October 22, 2022, due to a tragic automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Montrose Family Worship Center – 9453 Vienna Rd., in Montrose. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Wednesday from 10AM until 8PM, and at the church on Thursday from 9AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Mollie was born February 20, 1977, in Flint, Michigan, to Garth and LouAnn (Hobson) Royce. She graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School in 1995. Mollie worked at McLaren – Flint in the neuroscience - spinal cord injury department for 6 years. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. Mollie was also a member of the Michigan Blue Grass Association - she loved music and played bass in the band Hardline Drive. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her dog, Shadow, and traveling with her best friend, Jody. Mollie had a special bond with her niece, Jasmihn and they always had the best time together. She was known for her sunny personality, positive attitude, courageous spirit, and giving soul. Mollie had a heart of gold, and always took extra time with children and the elderly to make sure they felt loved and special. She was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Mollie leaves behind a huge void in the hearts of those that loved her and will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are: Mother, LouAnn (Terry) Montney; Father, Garth “Speed” (LuAnn) Royce; Sister, Jessie (Duane) Stone; Niece, Jasmihn Stone; Grandmother, Fay Joyce Wright; Life partner, Jermaine Pittman; Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, god children, special friends, and kids she always treated as her own. Mollie was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Lloyd William (Laurabel Mary) Royce, Herbert Leroy (Caroline Genevieve) Hobson, and Eugene Alvin Wright; Great grandmother, Mollie Royce.
