Jill Kathleen Benn
Age 78 of Vernon passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025.
There will be no service at this time. A life celebration will be held at a future date.
Jill was born November 25, 1946 in Lansing, to the late Stanley and Helen (Thomas) Richards.
She grew up in Dearborn, and graduated from Dearborn High School.
She married the love of her life William (Bill) Benn on May 15, 1971 at the Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn, Michigan. They made their home in Swartz Creek where they raised their two sons Brad and T before moving to Vernon. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before her passing.
Jill worked for 30 plus years as an Office Manager for Dr. Michael Baity and Dr. Luis Perez before her retirement in 2015.
Jill enjoyed playing golf where she was in many leagues at Dutch Hollow and WillowBrook Golf Courses. She was an avid sports fan, with a particular passion for Michigan State Spartans, Detroit Lions and the Tigers.
She is survived by her husband Bill; Children Brad (Meghan) Benn, and Thomas "T" (Val) Benn; grandchildren Lexie, Wyatt, Sawyer and Savannah Benn; Sister Judy (Paul) Goerke, Sister-in-law Barb (Bill) Maxheimer and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dick Richards and sister-in-law Bonnie (Donald) Charney. |
