MATZKE, Dale Robert – of Flushing, age 76, died Friday, June 9, 2023 at McLaren Flint. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Dale was born November 8, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Rudolph and Elizabeth (Dietzel) Matzke. He grew up in Frankenmuth, Michigan and graduated from Frankenmuth High School with the class of 1964. On March 27, 1971 he married Carol Seeback in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 1999, Dale worked for GM as a Production Worker at the Fisher 1 and Buick City Plants with 35 years of service. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and morel mushroom hunting with his family. He liked woodworking, 4 wheeler riding, playing softball and cornhole as well. However, his family was his greatest joy in life, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are Wife of 52 years, Carol Matzke; Children, Steven (Bonnie) Matzke, Dale (Tracy) Matzke, Tammy (Clayton) Wilber, Scott (Heather) Matzke; 12 Grandchildren; several Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild; Siblings, Jim Matzke, Nancy Sullivan, Larry (Jackie) Matzke; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Grandparents, Louie (Ella) Matzke; sister, Lucille (Larry) Rutowski; Sister in law, Kathy Matzke; Brother in law, Ed Sullivan.
