Vargo, Paul J.- of Clio, age 80, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM, Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Burton Eagles. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Friday, January 14, 2022 at 9:30 am.
Paul was born June 1, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late John and Shirley (Young) Vargo. He graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1959. He spent 4 years in the US Navy from 1959 - 1963. Paul married Patsy Kay Palmertree September 5, 1964; they spent 58 wonderful years together. He worked for General Motors for 33 years. Paul was a member of the Burton Eagles #3814 for 30 years. Paul enjoyed bowling, camping and he loved golfing. Paul and Kay enjoyed visiting their children/grandchildren and spending their winters in Okeechobee, Florida. Above all he loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Wife, Kay Vargo; Children: Tonya (Bret) Pettet and Paul (Stacey) Vargo; Grandchildren: Logan, Foster and Phoenix, Griffen; Siblings: John Vargo, David Vargo and Deborah Nelson; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his brother, Jerry Vargo and sister-in-laws Carol Vargo, Shelley Vargo and Dalene Vargo and nephew Drew Nelson.
