TOPOREK, Ida M. (Graham) - Of Grand Blanc, age 99, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at The Oaks at Woodfield.
Ida was born in Spruce, Michigan on March 12, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Amanda (LaCroix) LaBonte. She came to Flint in 1939. Ida worked at AC Spark Plug Division for 33 years. She started out working on 50 caliber machine guns for World War II. She met Frank Toporek and they married in 1964. They were married for 49 years before his passing on April 6, 2013. Ida was a member of St. Roberts Church since 1985, she was active at St. Roberts Seniors for 15 years. Her and Frank liked traveling and taking bus tours all over.
Surviving are step-children, Debra Niver, Julie McPhilimy and Julius Toporek;
granddaughters, Nicole Niver and Chelsie McPhilimy;
great-grandchildren, Chance Niver, Honor Niver and Phoenix Niver;
and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by, sisters, Rose O’Grady, Anna Aube, Agnes Andor, Iva Hubert and Eleanor Makalak, brothers, George, Felix, Alex and Alphonce LaBonte.
Private entombment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery due to Covid-19.
