MASSEY, Richard “Rick” - Of Grand Blanc, age 71, died Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys.
Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 2-4pm and 5-8pm Tuesday, October 7, at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Rick was born in Flint, Michigan on November 6, 1953, the son of the late Charles and Rose (Lotito) Massey. Rick graduated from Flint Central High School, Class of 1971. On April 5, 1975, he married Cheryl Hildensperger. Rick worked for 45 years at Extreme Precision Screw Products in Flint. He was an avid golfer and a fan of U of M Football, Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. More than anything, he loved his grandchildren who affectionately called him Bud or Papa. He loved cheering for them at all of their activities.
Surviving are wife, Cheryl;
Daughters, Stefanie (Jay) Turnage and Erica (Tim) Danov;
Grandchildren, Lucas and Delaney Turnage and Emery and Rylee Danov;
Sister, Christine (Scott) Duso;
And many nieces and nephews.
