SNYDER, Edward Blair – of Davison, MI, age 82, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-7 PM Wednesday, July 26, 2023 and 10-11 AM Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossover Outreach or the American Cancer Society, in Ed’s memory.
Ed was born in Flint, MI on August 30, 1940, son of the late Hilary and Eva (Walker) Snyder. He was employed in various occupations over the years with Builders Wholesale Lumber, Otto Liebold Meats, Jesiek Carpet Cleaning and Zelley Funeral Home. Ed was an avid sports fan and possessed remarkable historical knowledge of players from the past. He loved to watch sports and enjoyed playing sports in his younger days. Ed had a kind heart and a warm, winning smile. He was a great storyteller who had many stories to tell. Ed volunteered at Crossover Outreach and attended Court Street United Methodist Church
Ed is survived by 2 sisters, Joan Snyder and Diana (Randy) Rutherford; son, Robert Brant; former step-son, David (Jennifer) Schulze; niece, Hillary (Garrett Glassburn) Rutherford; many grandchildren, other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilary and Eva Snyder; 2 sons, Edward Blair Snyder II and Scott Snyder.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of University of Michigan Hospital and ProMedica Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Ed.
