KITCHEN, Margaret “Marge” Jean (Butkovich) – of Davison, MI, age 89, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1-4 PM Monday, September 5, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 12-1 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A time for Sharing of Memories will be held 3:30 PM Monday, September 5, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses to be prayed in Marge’s name at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Marge was born in Flint, MI on July 16, 1933, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Simpson) Butkovich. She married Wesley Kitchen on July 11, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2006. Marge was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for more than 50 years. She enjoyed walking, being outside, gardening, her American Eskimo dogs, spending time at her cabin on Lake Huron, long car rides, attending Mass and spending time with her family.
Marge is survived by 6 children, Valerie (Bob) Perry, Tim (Cheryl) Kitchen, Linda Frawley, Mike (Wanda) Kitchen, Andrea (Eric) Schroeder and Michelle Murphy; son-in-law, Homer Fenner; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with 1 more on the way; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Butkovich; her husband of 53 years, Wesley Kitchen; daughter, Debbie Fenner; 3 siblings, Patricia Kuehling, Dorothy Herman and Donald Butkovich.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of Marge’s caregivers for their compassionate and professional care throughout her journey.
