FRIES, Shirley Ann - Age 86, of Flint, died Monday, November 9, 2020. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 13, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 AM Friday until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
Shirley was born June 30, 1934 in Flint, the daughter of Al and Betty (LaFrance) Latesky. She married George Fries May 15, 1954 in Flint and he preceded her in death March 9, 1997. She had resided in Flint/East Tawas for most of her life. She coached her children's baseball teams. Shirley enjoyed bowling, fishing, crocheting, playing cards, and raising her family.
Surviving are: her sons, Thomas Fries of Durand, George (Dolly) Fries of Flushing, and Larry (Sue) Fries of Owosso; son in law, Steve Parker, of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Kristina (Matt) Thompson of Florida, Scott Malinowski of Florida, Andrea (Drew) Schmidt of Wisconsin, Amber (Bobby) Royal of Clio, Jenna (Kyle) Moore of Saginaw, and Nicholas Fries (Fiancee' Tara) of Swartz Creek; great grandchildren, Madison, Ava, Greyson, Natalie, and Autumn.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vickie Parker. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
