Ashley, Roger Alan - Age 63, of Haslett, formerly of Linden, passed away September 19, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, September 29 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide Street, Fenton. Father Robert Copeland, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Fenton. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday September 28 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden; and 10-11 AM Friday September 29 at the church. Those desiring may make contributions in his memory to the charity of one's choice.
Roger was born April 9, 1960 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Roger and Mary (Shannon) Ashley. He graduated from Linden High School. He married Eva "Patty" Morton on August 26, 1989 and she preceded him in death on July 2, 1990. He worked at AmeriSource Bergen in Williamston. Roger was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and being on the water. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Mary Ashley of Linden; siblings, Christine Parkerson, Deanna Crowder, Susan (Bill) Johnson, Richard Ashley, and Ryan (Jennie) Ashley; seven nieces and nephews, Cody Parkerson, Ashley and RJ Crowder, Gabriel and Caleb Ashley, Emerson and Paige Ashley; two step-daughters, Tina Grossmann and Mary Grossmann; step-grandson, Brandon Grossmann. The family extends a special thank you to Roger's friend Kim.
