Lorraine "Peg" June Wirostek
Age 89 of Oakley, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Ashley Care Center.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10:00 am at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Lorraine was born on June 1, 1931 to Archie and Hattie (Wilhelm) Newton in Ithaca, Michigan. She married Edward Wirostek on September 25, 1954. They shared 57 years of marriage before he predeceased her on October 1, 2011.
During her life, Lorraine worked as a registered nurse. She enjoyed baking, sewing, square dancing and farming with her husband. She also enjoyed camping and traveling around the U.S. and to other parts of the world. She was a 4H leader and was a member of St. Michael's Church in Oakley.
Lorraine is survived by her children; Stephanie Wirostek, David (Marie) Wirostek, Greg (Kathy) Wirostek, Marie (Paul) Bernthal, Doug(Debbie) Wirostek; 19 Grand Children; 15 Great Grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents; Husband Edward, Granddaughter Sarah Wirostek; Sister Viola (Toby) Daniels; Brothers Ivan (Rebecca) Newton and Archie (Jane) Newton.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Inc., and 4-H Clubs Organization.
