SOUTH, Franklin Lee – of Flint, age 65, died Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his residence following a brief and hard-fought battle with cancer. Honoring Frank's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Frank, known to his friends and family as Bunk, was born March 26, 1958, in Flint, Michigan to the late Franklin and Madelyn (Sherman) South. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Central High School with the class of 1976. Prior to his retirement, Frank worked in many areas of the hospitality industry including managing local bars and restaurants. In his free time, he was a shuffleboard and trivia champion. Frank was an avid golfer and hockey player throughout his life. He loved to travel, particularly to California to visit his daughters.
He is survived by his Daughters, Lauren (Mike O’Malley) South, Sydney (Robert Henley) South; Significant Other, Jane Jackson.
