SASEEN, Nick Joseph - Of Flint, age 74, died Friday, August 4, 2023 at Henry Ford Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 4pm Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Joseph Abud officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation Tuesday 10am-1pm, and 2pm, Tuesday, until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Nick was born in Flint, Michigan on October 29, 1948, the son of Joseph and Adel (Nicola) Saseen. He was the owner and operator of Nick’s Records and Tapes, formerly Nick’s Disco Shack. Nick promoted and supported many local musicians because of his love for music. He was a member of St. George Orthodox Church and the Amsyrleb Club. Nick also supported many police sports teams. He enjoyed going to the casino, loved the outdoors, hunting, traveling, snowmobiling and entertaining. Nick also loved to cook and invented his famous barbeque sauce. His pride and joy was his family, pets included.
Surviving are wife, Deborah;
daughter, Eva Rose Saseen;
siblings, Jeanette (Saseen) and husband, George Nassif, and Annette Saseen;
godson, Nick Nicola;
and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
