Nelson, Larry N. - Age 83, of Flint, died December 20, 2018. Services will held 2 PM Wednesday, January 9 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Larry was born July 17, 1935 in Flint the son of Noble Richard and Willie Lenear (Gaines) Nelson. He married Mary Ellen Lange on September 16, 1996 in Flint. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from GM Chevrolet. Larry was a member of American Legion served as Agitant, Finance officer, and Commander. He was also a member of Holly Moose Lodge and Burton Eagles. Larry was always up for golfing. He also enjoyed skiing. Larry is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; 3 children, Katherine Pickett of Davison, Shellie (Tom) McMurray of Grand Blanc, Eric T. Nelson of California; step-children, SaraLynn (David) Post of South Lyon, Mark Fletcher of Flint; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlene Hare of Novi; brother, Michael (Pam) Nelson of Englewood, FL.; several nieces and nephews.
