JOHNS, Lucille Ann (Titus) – of Grand Blanc, MI, age 90, passed away on February 25, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Monday, February 28, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. The family will receive visitors from 4-7 PM on Sunday, February 27, 2022 and on Monday at 11 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Church in Flint, MI, in Lucille’s memory.
Lucille was born in Flint, MI on April 27, 1931, daughter of the late Lyle and Goldie (Moore) Titus. She married Larry Johns on August 8, 1953, he preceded her in death on April 3, 1983. Lucille graduated from Flint Central High School in 1949. She received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan and later gained her master's degree from Michigan State University. Lucille was dedicated to teaching children in both elementary school and church. She found great joy in entertaining her friends and family and enjoyed playing games. Lucille spent time travelling throughout the United States for family summer vacations and visiting different parts of Michigan.
Lucille is survived by her 4 sons; Garry (Cindy) Johns, Kevin (Lorna) Johns, Eric (Laura) Johns and Brian (Melissa) Johns; 7 grandchildren, Josh, Erin (Steven) Abbott, Corie, Lorena, Miranda, Anna and Evan; 2 great grandchildren, Silas and Aiden Abbott; brother, Vaughn Titus; sister-in-law, Shirley McCullough; many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Goldie Titus; husband, Larry Johns; sister, Maxine Titus.
