GALLAGHER, Maxine Dorothy - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday November 26, 2020. Visitation will be held 2PM-4PM Sunday November 29, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will in Marion Springs Cemetery, Marion Springs at a later date. Maxine was born August 18, 1926 in Flushing,the daughter of Ernest Henry and Bernice Adell (Melancon) Kitch. She married Hughie William Gallagher and he preceded her in death. Maxine retired from Westwood Heights School District as a cook with 12 years of service. She enjoyed baking, traveling with her sister, sewing, crocheting, going to the casino and spending time with her cat shadow. Surviving are: daughter, Marilyn Kay (Harold) Chick of FL; son, Gordon Mark (Kathleen) Gallagher of Swartz Creek; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, Carol S. Brooks, Mary Bernice Haacker, Brenda Marie Ellis and William Ernest Gallagher; sister, Genevieve Marie Creamer; brothers, George, Mart and Don Kitch and good friend, Richard Kent. The family would like to extend a special to the Care Team Hospice, Lisa Lowell and Maple PLace of Flint for their care and devotion.
