NEWCOMBE, David Alan – Of Grand Blanc, age 76, died Friday, November 4, 2022, after a short battle with cancer.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of one’s choice.
David was born in Chula Vista, California on January 17, 1946, the son of Bill and Eleanor Newcombe.
He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1964.
He was a proud Tool & Die Maker for 42 years at Flint Metal Fab.
He loved the Detroit Tigers and Lions and never gave up on them, no matter the score.
David spent many years fishing and hunting in Michigan. He was an amateur photographer and built his own darkroom.
He enjoyed his summer boating on Saginaw Bay with the entire family.
Surviving are wife, Linda;
sons, Michael (Dana) Newcombe and Dr. Ryan A. Newcombe DC;
granddaughters, Madalyn and Brianna Newcombe;
sisters-in-law, Louise Johns and Irma Ellery;
nieces, Chris, Lynn, Lori, Lenore and Sheri;
nephew, Doug;
cousin, Laura Meyers.
