ROSE, Esther May – Of Swartz Creek, age 90, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026 at StoryPoint in Fenton.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Visitation 3-8pm Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Esther was born in Birch Run, Michigan on October 11, 1935, the daughter of the late Charles and Janet Vincent. On June 18, 1955, she married Thomas Logan Rose, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2018. Esther enjoyed playing cards at Swartz Creek Senior Center and was a competitive bowler when she was younger. She engaged in designing arts and crafts and loved to bake. Esther enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Fife Lake, Michigan.
Surviving are daughter, Linda Kay (Harry) Rose-Kon;
grandchildren, Thomas (Summer) Rose, Chelsea (Zach) Friesorger, Emily Kon and Rachel Bendall;
great-grandchildren, James McNulty, Gage Keller and Landin Keller;
sister, Marjorie (John) Whitehead;
sister-in-law, Gail (Larry) Hogard;
daughter-in-law, Gail Rose:
and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Charles Rose.
