DEMPSEY, Beverly (Cushaway) - of Clio, age 73, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021, with family by her side at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 14, 2021, at 1PM. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio from 11AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Beverly was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 26, 1947, to the late LeRoy J. Cushaway and Verona Mae Sutch. She Graduated from H. Redeemer and later went to Mott Community College for Nursing. After several faithful years of in-home care, she retired but continued caring for several family members. Beverly married Michael Dempsey on December 28, 1987. She loved bowling and music, sewing, garage sales, playing cards and board games, above all, she loved her family.
Surviving are: Husband Michael Dempsey; Children: Anna (Chris) Moyer, Jean (Kent) Morrison; Step-Children Mayette and James Dempsey; 8 grandchildren; siblings: Linda (Cushaway) Smith, Ted Musolf, Joyce Stinson, several nieces and nephews; Great-Aunt Jimmie; and furry companion the cat Sassy. She was preceded in death by: Parents LeRoy and Verona; Daughter Darlene C. Lee, and step daughter, Esmerelda, both in 2004.
