DOTY, Elaine (Benjamin) - Age 78, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Memorial service will take place 2 PM, Monday, October 19, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will take place on Monday from 11 AM until the time of Service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation www.bcrf.org
Elaine was born on September 8, 1942, in Flint, the daughter of the late James and Alice Benjamin. She graduated from Dye High School in Flint MI. Elaine married Richard "Dick" Doty in 1962, they were married for 47 years. She worked for Kmart, Toys R Us and Builders Square, while raising her family. Elaine loved the Detroit Tigers Baseball, going to the casino, watching game shows, soap operas (stories) and was passionate about all genres of music. But most of all, she loved her family.
Elaine will be greatly missed by her children, Tim, Tom (Kassandra), Chris and Brad (Ann-Mari); grandchildren, Sarah, Tommy and Molly; brothers, Dick Benjamin, John (Carol) Benjamin; special niece, Brenda Doty; nephews, Mike (Julie), Dennis (Lorraine) and Richard Doty; Sister in law, Shirley Adams; along with many other nieces, nephews and special friends; Also close to her heart was Mary Doty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Daniel; sisters, Patsy and Janet; brother, Chuck; and parents James and Alice Benjamin. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
