Mrs. Sandra Yvonne Jones transitioned peacefully on February 3,2021 at her home in Flint, Mi. She was 67 yrs. She was born April 4, 1953 in San Diego, Ca. where she attended school obtaining her high school diploma and received vocational training as a nurse’s aide and a computer operator. She was employed by T.J. Engineering for over 11yrs until their closure.
She relocated to Flint, after working for several places, finding a permanent position at Medical Solutions in Flint Twp. where she retired and began working part-time with Home Care. She was a member of the Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle Church Family where she served in Sunday School, The Prayer Line, Christ Alive and faithfully visiting the elderly and sick on Christmas Day.
She loved making stocking stuffers with items such as snacks with goodies and passing them out to the people she had visited and ministered along with words of encouragement. Her life was very well lived. She had a genuine faith in Jesus Christ She was the oldest child of the late Verrrah L. Stokely. She leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Lashell and LeAnn.
8 grandchildren, Carla Evan-Nash, Kerzionne Evans-Nash, Janaea Russell, Kyanna Paxton, Kamesha Owens, Keyon, Shyann and Tyann Hamilton all of San Diego, Ca. 3 sisters, Glynis Terry, Debra Mercedes (Larry) Wells and Felicia (Robert) Roberts, 2 brothers, Marlo (Rhonda) Terry and Darvis Pinkard. 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters in laws, Catherine (Willie) Towner and Cynthia Jones, brother-in-law, Joseph Robinson. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including, “last but not least”, her husband Ray Jones.
