Kathy Teddy of Davison, age 61, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Kathy was born April 21, 1959 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Pike) DuRussell and was a graduate of Caro High School. She studied at Mott Community College in Flint and received an Associates degree in accounting from Baker College. Kathy was very passionate, caring, and generously lived her life for others. She lived for her granddaughters, Eva and Delilah, who were the focus of much of her time. Kathy firmly believed in the Gospel and spoke of Him to anyone that would listen.
Kathy is survived by two sons, Wayne Teddy and his wife, Larissa, of Davison and Paul Teddy of Los Angeles, California; two granddaughters, Eva and Delilah; her significant other with whom she resided, Donald Sanchez of Davison; siblings, Carol (DuRussell) Nelson, Nanci DuRussell, and Randy DuRussell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by six siblings, Jerry DuRussell, Gary DuRussell, Kim DuRussell, Edward DuRussell, Kaye (DuRussell) Lincoln, and Judith (DuRussell) Kreger.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Brad Speirs officiating. Burial will follow at East Dayton Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Paul Teddy, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
