Donald J. Kaczmarczyk, age 86, passed away on January 29, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Roy Horning on February 2, 2021 at 11am with one hour of visitation to welcome friends prior to the mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church - 11110 N. Saginaw Road, Mount Morris, MI. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Mount Morris, Michigan. Donald was born on December 20, 1934 in Flint, Michigan to the late John and Mary (Matusiak) Kaczmarczyk. Donald was President and Co-owner of Casmer and Sons Manufacturing with his brothers Louis, Gerald and John for 56 years; he was an exceptional inventor and tool and die maker.
On May 7, 1955 Donald married the love of his life, Jean Petrowski. They loved trips up north to Tawas and down south to Florida. Donald was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Most mornings you could find him with his friends having coffee at McDonalds. He enjoyed everything outdoors; from golfing, snowmobiling, boating, riding his motorcycle, watching deer, his John Deer Tractor, and tending to the yard. He had a need for speed and loved sports cars, especially his Corvette’s.
Donald made friends wherever he went. But above all, he cherished every moment spent with his family; especially his grandchildren. Donald was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean Kaczmarczyk; children: David (Holly) Kaczmarczyk, Debra (Russ) Miller, James (Tamara) Kaczmarczyk, Jack (Diane) Kaczmarczyk, Donald (Ann) Kaczmarczyk, Julie (Bruce) Harbin; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Sharon (Winston) Dolphin. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Louis, Gerald, John, Virgie, and Patricia. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions for the needs of St. Mary's Catholic Church in memory of Donald. In compliance with the state and local mandates please practice social distancing, wear a facial covering, and follow gathering limitations while visiting St. Mary’s church. |
