Denise Lynn Smith of Davison, age 58, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Harold Polk officiating, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2 – 6 pm Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Denise’s memory to Genesee County Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
Denise was born in Flint, Michigan Aug. 6, 1962 and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. She married Glenn Smith on August 16, 1986 in Davison. Denise graduated from Davison High School. Denise’s great love and enjoyment was her family and especially her loving grandchildren.
Surviving is husband Glenn, children: Kellye and husband John Walsh, Casey and wife Tara Smith, and grandchildren, Logan, Jack, and soon to arrive grandson “Baby Smith”. She also leaves her parents Gayla and Lynn Collard, and siblings: Jackie (Mike) Zdenek, Rick Baker, Rebecca (Ron) Shelton, Lynda (Troy) Clark, Laurie Little, Lisa (Bill) Feinhauer, and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by father Richard Baker. |
