KERR, Lavana L. “Bonnie” - Of Flint, age 97, died Friday, September 15, 2023 at Shiawassee Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, September 18, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Larry Burk officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Visitation 12Noon Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lavana was born in Brosley, Missouri on August 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Liggie and Edith (Pierce) Gulledge. She was a member of South Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Vona (Bill Bisnack) Slaughter and Freda Slaughter;
grandchildren, Lynette (Edward) Brandon, Brian Wilson, Jason Gauthier, Michelle (Howard) Lucia, Timothy (Leanne) Pennington and Melissa Pennington;
and several great, great-great, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John of 29 years and 2 brothers and 1 sister.
