JENSEN (GIANNONE) Patricia Louise - of Fenton, Michigan, age 88, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.

Pat was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 5th, 1934 to Wanda Cole. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Central High School in 1953. During high school, she was dedicated to both playing and teaching guitar at Lowe Studio in Flint. She also learned the upright bass, Hawaiian lap steel guitar, and accordion. Pat joined several orchestras and bands. In 1955 Pat married Harold Jensen and had three children: Lisa, Paul and Linda. While raising her children, Pat began her nursing career and, in 1971, graduated from Mott Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science, Nursing. She worked in the ER department at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Detroit in 1977. In 1990, she and Harold decided to snowbird in Daytona Beach, Florida and Pat continued working in both Florida and Michigan until her retirement in 2000. Pat was an adventure-seeker: she was a world traveler and visited all seven continents. Along the way, she fished the Amazon, went on safari in Africa, shot vodka in Russia, whale watched in Alaska, and walked the Great Wall of China. She visited every state except for Arkansas and was a particularly avid lover of Las Vegas (and shooting craps). Just shy of her 80th birthday, she completed her bucket list by going both skydiving and scuba diving (you read that correctly.) Pat was happiest with her friends and family, acting as the life of the party and filling the room with her contagious laugh. She and Harold hosted countless parties at their home on Squaw Lake, the memories of which are still treasured by many to this day. One of her greatest joys was when her children and grandchildren visited her and Harold for spring break. The memories made on those trips are among her grandchildren’s favorites. She was an inspiring lover of life, and encouraged everybody to add a little adventure and playfulness to their days.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Lisa (Barry Barnett) Ross and Linda (Bill) Kelly, both of Fenton, MI; bonus daughters Jules (Tanya Oliveira) Tarrant of Lake Ridge, VA and Rhonda (Duane Curto) Jensen of Ortonville, MI; grandchildren, Brandon Ross of Manchester, NH, Matthew (Nikki Churchill) Kelly of Milford, MI, Emily Ross of Fenton, MI, Allison (Kyle) Rice of Naples, FL, Luke (Kacie) Jensen of Whitmore Lake, MI and Abigail (Alec) Rie of Ortonville, Ml and her six great- grandchildren Madeline, Margot, and Sophia Kelly, Henry Rice, and Lily and Ruby Jensen; sister, Paula Procunier of Swartz Creek, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jensen in 2000.

Those desiring may make contributions to Whaley Children’s Center in Flint.
