FOUST, Matthew Paul - Age 59, of Grand Blanc, passed away August 28, 2023. Memorial Service 2:00 PM Friday September 8, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Friday. A Committal Service with Navy Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly at a later date. Memorial contributions in Matthew's memory would be appreciated to the Family or Gift of Life Michigan.
Matthew was born February 28, 1964, in Flint, the son of Louis and Alice (Roat) Foust. He married Donna R. Johnson in Flint on August 5, 1989. Matthew graduated from Kearsley High School in 1982 and Mott Community College. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Matthew was employed as a Quoting Specialist with UNICO for many years. He was a member of VFW Post #2777 in Burton. Matthew was a talented bass guitarist and played in various Classic Rock Bands. He served as a Den Leader for the Cub Scouts. Matthew especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Donna; children, Tonia (Jay) Atkinson, Sandra (Jeremy) Atkinson, Danielle "Fred" Atkinson, Rebecca (David) Livesay, Elisabeth (Cody) Foust, Matthew Foust, Hailey Foust, Joshua Foust; grandchildren, Kyle (Rachel), Alana, Payton, Derick, Breanna, Braydin, Adrian, Dorian, Alexis, Autumn, Tara, Christian and Jasmine; great-grandchild Liam; siblings, Kathleen (David) Finch, Louis (Marilynn) Foust, Lawrence (Stephanie) Foust; step-mother, Ruby Foust; step-sister, Kim (Domenic) Sutter; step-brother, Matt (Lindsey) Dougherty; and several nieces and nephews.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, William Szabo; Aunt Pudge; and nephew, Kristopher Finch. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
