ABBOTT, Jane P. – of Clio, age 70, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at her residence. Honoring Jane’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to national.scleroderma.org or www.curesma.org in memory of Jane.
Jane was born on November 25, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leroy and Thelma (Peck) Dafoe. She graduated from Atherton High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan-Flint. Jane married Arron Abbott on August 4, 1973 in Flint. Jane was a teacher for Clio Area Schools for 35 years before retiring in 2013. Jane was a friend to all animals, especially her 4 cats. Jane loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Predeceased by: husband, Arron Abbott.
Surviving are: children, David Abbott of Clio, Sarah (Travus) Brummette of Nolensville, TN, Teresa (Anthony) Perge of Clio and Bryan Abbott of Genesee; 5 grandchildren, Isabella and Hayden Perge, Ronan and Owen Brummette, and Lila Abbott, special aunt, Marjorie Dafoe, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
