Brian Duane Bodary Sr.
Age 84 of Flint, formerly of Owosso, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022.
A funeral service will be held 3 PM Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Nelson-House Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 PM to time of service.
Brian was the son of Arlo Arthur and Inez Elizabeth (Corriveau) Bodary born in Owosso on March 24, 1938.
Brian attended GMI, now Kettering and earned degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. He worked as the Assistant General Manager at Plant 9 and retired from Delco in 1993 as a Product Engineer.
Brian loved to hunt and fish. He was a certified herbalist and adhered to holistic medicine. Brian was also a great story teller. As a young man he learned to fly planes at the Owosso Airport.
Brian is survived by children Brian (Carleen) Bodary Jr., Brad Bodary and Kim Jenkins, Laura (Jim) Miner and Brett (Betsy) Bodary; grandchildren, Thomas (Samantha) Bodary, Amanda (Sam) Gray, Sarah (Adam) Swinney, David (Katie) Bodary, Zachary (Lillian) Bodary, Parker Bodary, Wade Miner, Ella Miner, Amber (Jason) Jones; great-grandchildren, Logan, Arya, Landon, Lucas, Briar, Harrison, Hazel Hunter Gray; mother of his children, Norma Jean. Also, special companion, Pauline Mance, good friend, John Hatmaker.
He. was predeceased by his parents.
