LAURIA (Troutt), Cheryl – of Davison, age 72, passed away on May 7, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 11, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 208 E. Fourth St., Davison; Pastor Michael Halliburton and Pastor David Miller co-officiating. A private burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Davison or American Cancer Society.
Cheryl was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 14, 1950, daughter of LeRoy and Alberta Troutt. She married Fred Lauria on April 16, 1994 in Davison, Michigan. Cheryl worked in day care for much of her life. She enjoyed taking bus trips with friends and making an annual trip to Florida with friends and family. Cheryl enjoyed dinners at church and fellowshipping with her church community.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Fred; daughter, Kimberly Shugars; son, David (Kim) Shugars; son, Jeff (Dawn) Lauria; brother, Randy (Denise) Troutt; grandchildren, Emily (Trevor) Templeton and Haley (Seth) Burwell, Jakob and Brennen Shugars; in-laws, Shirley Lauria, Linda Younce, Billie and Mike Kerneen, Ron and Donna Lauria, Marilyn and Alan Roeder, and Tom and Sue Lauria; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Alberta (Eichelberger) Troutt; father LeRoy Troutt; brother, Jerry Troutt; brother, Dennis Troutt; mother-in-law, Wilsona Lauria; father-in-law, Ben Lauria; brother-in-law, Ben (Marcia) Lauria Jr.
