MERRITT, Ralph Lynwood – Of Grand Blanc, age 85, died Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grand Blanc Moose Lodge.
Ralph was born on August 31, 1936 on Bois Blanc Island, Michigan, the son of the late Fredrick and Stella (Arkwood) Merritt.
On May 18, 1960 he married Virginia Gouin in Cheboygan, Michigan and she preceded him in death on May 9, 2022.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge, The American Legion and, the Eagles.
He retired from Buick in 1998, after working for General Motors for 35 years.
Surviving are son, Jay Merritt;
daughters, Joni and Jeannie Merritt;
grandchildren, Tyler Merritt, Ashley and husband Justin Minkowski;
great-granddaughter, Avery;
twin boys on the way;
many nieces and nephews;
brother, Jack Merritt.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
