BRUNETT, ROY E. – Age 92, of Fostoria, Michigan, died at Brookdale Assisted Living.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Deerfield Township Cemetery in North Branch.
Visitation 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Roy was born in Alpena, Michigan on October 23, 1930, the son of the late Edward and Flossie (Hilts) Brunett.
He grew up in Alpena and Detroit.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953, and retired from GM with 34 years of service.
Roy married Betty Green on November 3, 1951 in Lapeer, Michigan.
He was a member of Deerfield Methodist Church and loved fishing, hunting and traveling with Betty.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Carolyn (Robert) Nelson of Flushing,
Michele (David) Williams of Naperville, Illinois;
son, Kenneth (Beth) Brunett of Silverwood;
daughter-in-law, Sherill Brunett of Davison;
4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; son, Dennis; grandson, Colin Williams; parents; brother, Eugene and sisters, Darlene, Helen and Janice.
