Meade, Glenville Wayne age 85. Things ain’t what they ought to be. After a fight tougher than any fish had ever given him, Wayne lost his battle with cancer on July 7, 2022. Arrangements have been made through Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center 901 Garland St. Flint MI. 48503. Wayne was born the eldest of four brothers to Glen and Norma Meade in Parkersburg WV on December 7, 1936. From West Vergina he traveled around the world via the US Navy, where he found his forever happy place – in a boat out on the water. As a veteran, Wayne was a proud American Legion member of Post 413, and as any of his fellow legion members would tell you, you could count on seeing him in his boat out bass fishing everyday possible from spring through fall through Mid-Michigan. He even met his lovely wife, Margaret Alice Pardee, on the shores of one of those lakes. He and Margaret married i2544n Chicago Illinois on January 30, 1959, parenting four children and spending 63 years together. Wayne was employed in industrial advertising and as a technical illustrator unit his retirement. He excelled at oil painting as is evident by the many works that grace the walls of his and Margaret’s home. Wayne leaves behind his loving wife Margaret, sons Jeffrey (Leslie) Meade, Gregory (Heidi) Meade, daughters Tamara (Randy) Geiger-Stephenson, Helana (Dan) Shull, brothers Donald (Romona) Meade, Charles Meade, as well as a grandson, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephew, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his brother David Meade (Delores). Wayne will be greatly missed and especially by remembered for his fiery spirit, larger than life appetite and his love of fishing. At his request, no services are planned. |
