HAMADY, Grant F. – Of Flint, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 with his son by his side.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 and also 10:00am on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 until the time of service at 11 a.m.at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Grant was born in Flint, Michigan on July 29, 1938, the son of the late Jack and Lily (Richani) Hamady. He went on to serve in the United States Army. On June 15, 1968 he married Carolyn Parker. Grant was the Owner and Broker of Grant Hamady Realty in Flint. Everyone knew him for his work ethic. He was an honest businessman with integrity and a great leader. Grant was wise and had a sense of fairness that he displayed to others. He saw the positive in everyone and in every situation. His voice of reason will always be with us and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are son, David and wife Biana Hamady;
granddaughter, Isabella Hamady;
brother, Ronald Hamady;
and sister, Nawal Sandra Alley;
Grant was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn on January 20, 2018, parents, Jack and Lily Hamady and brother, Lloyd Hamady.
